Eco School Water Bottles
Here at Eco-Bottles, we are dedicated to promoting a healthy and environmentally friendly message. We believe that it is vital to send that message to the younger generations. They are the pioneers of our future and teaching them how to look after our world will ensure our survival on this planet.
We promote a service to introduce Eco bottles as the recommended drinking bottles in schools. We believe that each child will benefit from eco school water bottles, as it teaches them about recycling. It will help them understand the importance and relevance of recycling and will divert them away from the throw-away culture we have today. The bottle will also teach them why it is different to other bottles, and the risks and hazards that may apply to other plastics which they will come in to contact with daily.
Eco school water bottles will reduce the school’s carbon footprint, whilst promoting a healthy and environmentally friendly message.
Health benefits for children
Water is a vital part of our life and our bodies consists and depends on it. Our brain, for example, is made up of 85% water. If a child gets dehydrated, he/she will suffer in terms of concentration. It can affect short-term memory and cause the brain’s energy levels to decrease.
It is at school when children require constant concentration and keeping them hydrated keeps them alert to digest new information.
Children are constantly surrounded by attractive drinks filled with aspartame, sugar and citric acid. Even as they are steered towards bottled water, there are dangers of the bottle itself.
Normal bottles are made with PET plastic, which releases Bisphenol A into the drink when the bottle has been overused or kept in a warm place. Eco school water bottles are BPA Free.
During the summer season, these bottles are inevitably going to warm up, therefore releasing potentially hazardous chemicals.
What is Bisphenol A?
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a man-made industrial chemical that is used to produce polycarbonate plastic and epoxy resins.
This chemical is widely used in water bottles and drink bottles. It’s causing lots of controversy due to the health risks associated with it.
BPA is classified as an endocrine disruptor. This is a substance which alters the function of the endocrine system by mimicking the role of the body’s natural hormones. This stimulates reactions that are unnecessary and potentially harmful.
Early development appears to be the period of greatest sensitivity to its effects. A report from the toxicology program stated concern for effects on the brain and behaviour caused by BPA in foetuses, infants and children.
Eco school water bottles are BPA Free.
Personalised School Water Bottles
We also offer personalised Eco bottles designed specifically for each school. We can print anything on the eco school water bottle from environmental messages to school logos. The choice is left to the customer.
This can be made fun for the children, as competitions can be held to create the best design. This would raise the topic of recycling and promote an environmentally sound way of living among the pupils.
The winner could have their design printed onto the eco school water bottle as a prize.
